FAQ
Switching to solar eliminates the noise and fumes of petrol/diesel generators and drastically reduces your electricity bills. It gives you energy independence, meaning you have 24/7 power regardless of what NATIONAL POWER or the fuel stations are doing.
Yes. Solar panels rely on daylight, not just heat or direct sunlight. While production is slightly lower on heavily clouded days, our high-efficiency Monocrystalline panels are designed to capture light even in overcast conditions. Your battery bank is also sized to cover you during these periods.
Absolutely. Solar can power anything from a light bulb to an industrial machine. The key is sizing. During our consultation, we calculate your total load to recommend the right capacity (e.g., a 5kVA system for basic ACs or a 10kVA+ system for multiple heavy appliances).
An Off-Grid system works independently and doesn’t connect to NEPA. A Hybrid system (which we recommend) connects to both your solar panels and the grid (NEPA). It intelligently switches between solar, battery, and grid power to ensure you never run out of electricity.
We prioritize quality and efficiency. Monocrystalline panels (the black ones) are made from higher-grade silicon and are more efficient at converting sunlight into electricity, especially in low-light conditions. They simply perform better and last longer.
It depends on the battery type.
Tubular/Gel Batteries: Typically last 3–5 years with proper maintenance.
Lithium (LiFePO4) Batteries: Can last 10–15 years (over 2,500+ cycles). We will help you choose the best option for your budget and long-term goals.
Yes, 100% silent. Unlike petrol generators that roar and vibrate, our portable solar generators use lithium batteries and pure sine wave inverters. You can keep them inside your bedroom or office without any noise or fumes.
You don’t need to guess! We offer a Energy Audit. We will ask you a few questions about your appliances (how many TVs, ACs, freezers, etc.) and your typical usage hours, then recommend a package that fits your needs.
Yes, Patwill Solar serves clients nationwide. Whether you are in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, or Kano, we have logistics partners and technical teams to get your system installed.
For most residential homes (3kVA – 10kVA), installation is usually completed within 1 to 2 days. Larger commercial projects may take a bit longer.
No. Our technicians use professional mounting rails and clamps designed specifically for your roof type (long-span, stone-coated, etc.). We ensure the roof remains leak-proof and structurally sound.
Very little. The main maintenance is keeping them clean. Dust (especially during Harmattan) or bird droppings can reduce efficiency. We recommend washing them with plain water and a soft brush once every few months.
We offer comprehensive after-sales support. If you notice any issues, simply contact our support line. Many modern hybrid inverters have remote monitoring, allowing us to diagnose issues without even visiting your site initially.
We stand behind our quality:
Solar Panels: Up to 25-year performance warranty.
Inverters & Batteries: Standard manufacturer warranties apply (ranging from 1–5 years depending on the model/technology chosen).
It is an upfront investment with a high return. If you calculate how much you spend on fuel, generator maintenance, and inflated electricity bills over 2 years, a solar system usually pays for itself in that time. After that, your energy is essentially free.
Currently, we require payment upon invoice, but we can structure payments in milestones for large commercial projects.

Undersizing your inverter can lead to tripping. Oversizing wastes money. Let us calculate your load accurately.
